On January 20, the new US President Donald Trump made statements about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. The new US president said that "Russia will have big problems” if the war continues.
“Yes, I would have talked [to Zelensky]. But he told me he wants to make a deal. I mean, Zelensky wants to make a deal. I don't know if Putin wants to do that. Maybe yes, maybe no. I don't know. But he has to make a deal. I think he will ruin rf by not making a deal. I think russia will be in big trouble. Look at their economy, look at inflation in russia. So I would hope that he [Putin] and I would have a good relationship and we would find common ground. And, you know, I would hope that he wants to make a deal,” Trump said.
