Russia's Genocide Against Circassians Continues Even in Exile!

Circassian genocide and exile

In 1763, the Russian policy of genocide and exile against Circassians is still continuing today, almost 300 years later. Millions of Circassians resettled in Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Kosovo, Bulgaria and other former Ottoman territories have to struggle with exiles, wars and massacres in addition to cultural genocide.

Almost 200.000 Circassians, who found themselves in the Syrian civil war, unleashed, among other things, by the Russian security services to prevent the construction of a gas pipeline from Qatar to Europe, are not the only large Circassian diaspora that has been touched again by Russian tentacles.

Before the war, there were about 50,000 Circassians in Kosovo, descendants of migrants from lands occupied by the Russian Empire. Russia did not unleash war in Kosovo, but in every possible way contributed to its scale, actively supporting the Serbian side, including sending mercenaries, helping to turn the life of the local population into hell. The then governments of the republics of Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Adygea were more independent than now, and therefore they achieved evacuation of at least part of Circassians from the war zone - about 200 people were evacuated. Similar evacuation measures were organized in 2011, when the war in Syria was just heating up.

We strongly believe that Circassians will get out of this situation they have been in for 300 years. All Circassians living in the Diaspora will one day return to their homeland, Independent Circassia! Адыгэ лъэпкъыр псэу!
